Deep deep down in the dawning
The creep creepy crawlies are crawling
Bed bugs may not be biting
But there's more to this night that is frightening
Hiding under your sheets
The pitter patter of feets
Come sneaking out in the gloom
Of your moonlight lit little room
The ghastly ghouls are a-grasping
Their bony lungs are a-rasping
But you won't be caught dead a-peeping
When you wish you were soundly a-sleeping
The ghosts and ghouls are convening
The bumps in the night have that meaning
The creaks and the groans and the rapping
Are not the sounds of the peacefully napping
