Scene 3.
On the top step outside the gate Apollonius raises his hands, causing Seth to levitate higher and higher. Then Apollonius lowers his arms and Seth slowly returns to the ground. Seth lifts Apollonius's hand towards the sky and proclaims his name. The crowd cheers.
[APOLLONIUS:]
Here I am, night reborn.
Bridges burn, I am yours.
[SETH:]
Magic bring to us – Apollonius!
[WOMEN:]
Hail Apollonius!
Turn darkness to reason.
[MEN:]
You will show again age of the past.
[ALL CITIZENS:]
To follow you like dreamers true –
Apollonius, life and death will do.
[APOLLONIUS & MESSENGER:]
Eastern light – magical.
Watch it rise – heavens fall.
Black and white shall entwine,
come the dawn – evening sky.
[ALL CITIZENS:]
Magic bring to us – Apollonius!
[WOMEN:]
Hail Apollonius!
